Curriculum
Our international teaching system includes a total of 7 Modules to learn Bowen therapy. Our worldwide instructors teach the same high quality curriculum. To complete all 7 Modules takes 9 – 12 months. Each Module is 2 days of training and includes:
• Demonstration of each procedure, with detailed explanation of anatomical landmarks
• Explanation and discussion of the procedures and indications for their use
• Manual with photographs and anatomical diagrams
• Extensive supervised hands-on practice, with feedback from the instructor
• Ample review of procedures taught in previous modules
Module 1
Learning the Bowen therapy move. Procedures for lower back, upper back, neck and the head.
Module 2
Review of previously learned procedures. Procedures for shoulders, hamstrings and respiratory system.
Module 3*
Review of previous modules. Procedures for pelvis, knee, elbow and wrist.
Module 4*
Review of previous modules. Procedures for upper respiratory and TMJ, ankle and foot concerns, babies and children.
Module 5*
Review of previous modules. Procedures for additional shoulder complaints, gallbladder, chest and coccyx.
Module 6*
Review of previous procedures. Procedures for bedwetting, bursitis, buttock pain, infertility protocol.
Module 7
Review and assessment of all procedures to assess competency. Both a written and practical assessment will be given. At the successful completion of this module, students will be granted a diploma from the Bowen Therapy Academy of Australia.
*Modules 3 – 6 also include: Practical and written assessments written case studies (a total of ten over the 3 remaining modules)
